John Muir Clifftop Trail

John Muir’s descriptions of Dunbar’s dramatic coast are still recognisable today. This booklet follows a walk along the coast and clifftops between West Barns and Dunbar. It is filled with information and photographs of the views and their geology, history, flora and fauna which are so much a part of Dunbar’s landscape.

Published in 2002 by Dunbar’s John Muir Association, this guide to Dunbar’s dramatic coast and the easternmost part of the John Muir Country Park is intended to enhance a user’s experience by providing an insight into the history, landscape, flora and fauna that John Muir would have known as a boy.
